1145. But even though the entire great display of sympathy that has begun to develop in the mentality of the terrestrial human being outside the sphere of "one-poled sexuality" is thus not "passion" or a conscious endeavour to carry out an act of copulation or attain a sexual climax between a "male being" and a "female being", it still cannot be absolved from being "sexuality". It has its root in a different organic structure from that which produces "passion" between a "male being" and a "female being". That an organic structure lies behind this cannot be denied, since every manifestation of consciousness can occur only as a product of such a structure. It is obvious that this relatively new, organic structure behind the kind of "sexuality" that takes the form of "neighbourly love" is not as well-established or pervasive in the consciousness as the organic structure of the "one-poled sexuality" is, the latter having been central to the state of consciousness and conduct of the terrestrial human being for thousands upon thousands of lives. While this latter structure is very largely "C-knowledge" or an automatic function, so that even the so-called "dumb animals" can practise it one hundred per cent physically without any instruction or guidance, the former structure is as yet to a very great extent merely "A-knowledge" and "B-knowledge", which means that it is still in the main merely a phenomenon of thought in the awake day-consciousness, which as yet cannot lead to a perfect, practical climax on the physical plane or in the physical organism. In other words the terrestrial human being thus represents two organic sexual structures, of which the one has long since passed its peak and is therefore now degenerating, while the other is in its infancy and is developing towards its peak. The first, because of the long period of time it has existed, has developed specific organs for its climax (the sexual organs), while the other does not have completed physical organs at all for its climax, but is merely on its way to transforming its organism to this end. While the climax of the former sexual form has long since been a fact and reality in the being's awake day-consciousness, the climax of the other form of sexuality, on account of its still insufficient ability to bring such a climax about, is still not a realistic fact or experience in the terrestrial human being's awake day-consciousness or on the terrestrial, physical plane. This is the reason why the terrestrial human being is a being that is neither a pure "animal" nor a pure "real human being".
