Where one finds perfect marriages and thereby the fulfilment of the divine commandment: "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the Earth"
1148. Since the incipient intellectual being, the artist, the scientist or the genius is thus a degenerated being in the sphere of marriage, it is not within these beings' circles that we find radiant and happy marriages with many healthy, vigorous children. To do so we must go back to the beings for whom artistic interests are as yet of a very subordinate nature, indeed, are as yet quite incomprehensible and thus do not as yet collide to any great extent with their marital interests. We must thus go back to beings whose interest lies one hundred per cent with their spouse and offspring, and for whom there is therefore nothing else in existence that, in any way worth mentioning, can coax their interest away from them. Where existence means nothing other than marriage, the home and children, and where all other interests are merely a matter of having money, a secure job or well-paid work with which to guarantee oneself the highest happiness, which is what married life means for the person concerned, this is where the perfect zone of marriage of course exists. This is where we find lifelong, really happy marriages with many children. This is where we find the culmination of the fulfilment of the Creator's words to Adam and Eve, "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the Earth ?".
