If there is too much "feeling" in the energy combination behind the will, it will be guided to a corresponding degree by "sympathy" for the satisfaction of the desire without regard for the consequences of this satisfaction. This in turn means that the "sympathy", because of this lack of "intelligence", outshines the desired manifestation or creation to such a degree that it blinds the individual. The individual is correspondingly unable to see the absolutely unfortunate consequences or unpleasantnesses that are connected with the satisfaction of his or her desire, and cannot therefore prevent or avoid them. And these unpleasantnesses will therefore be bound up with the manifestation, which will therefore not provide the individual with the satisfaction that it originally wished or hoped for; indeed, in the worst cases this is rendered totally impossible. In this case the individual will thus experience only disappointment and the unpleasantnesses, pains and sufferings caused by its lack of intellectual insight into how it exercises its will in relation to the creation of the manifestation. The individual's expenditure of energy thus appears to it to be "wasted" or "futile". And a manifestation or expenditure of energy that is futile is also "illogical". But a futile or illogical manifestation involves a loss of energy, a reduction of the originator's normal manifestation or appearance. This appearance thus cannot be in contact with the normality that is otherwise in evidence in Nature or life itself as the "fulfilment of the law". Because of its waste of energy such a being's manifestation is a disadvantage for its surroundings. And we have thus here the absolute opposite of the form of manifestation that we call "universal love" or "neighbourly love". Every form of manifestation that makes its originator a disadvantage for its surroundings will thus undeniably constitute "unkindness". That this "unkindness", from a cosmic point of view, has its opposite pole at another place in the cycle where it has become knowledge that can manifest itself only as "love" and can accordingly form a part of life's great main answer, which is that "everything is very good", is of course another matter and does not change the fact that it is "unkindness" in its originator's temporary local sphere of consciousness, where it creates realistic sufferings that it must inevitably learn to take into consideration when day-consciously exercising its will. And the manifestations of such a being are far too far removed from a state of genius for them to be "art".
      No manifestation that is illogical or useless or that constitutes a total waste of energy, can represent or be expressive of the ability to incarnate high-intellectuality in matter. Such manifestations reveal merely the being's still predominantly animal manifestation and its appearance as that of a still predominantly unfinished human being.
