1186. So, in accordance with the above, the materialistically minded being is excluded from experiencing or sensing the absolute truth or reality. But this exclusion is, as will be remembered, the prerequisite for doing research or making a quest for the truth. And without this quest the truth could never be revealed to him as an absolute, personal experience. He could thus never become one of the absolutely high-intellectual sages, but would have to remain eternally at the primitive or simple human being's stage of "belief". And for this reason every researcher will thus sooner or later, like the readers of "Livets Bog", be ready to face being able to see the real truth, which has already been experienced in life, sparkling and radiating from the books, pages and columns of the "Bible" and other holy scriptures. He who is himself the truth can see the truth, wherever it may reveal itself outside of himself. It is this principle that turns the words of Christ into scientific fact when, among other things, he said to Pilate, "Everyone that is of the truth heareth my voice".
