1198. But the cosmic analyses of life cannot be built on abnormality, but on universal, normal reality. We must therefore in the absolute sense praise the "expulsion from paradise". Without this "expulsion" the horizon of the plant being would never have been transformed or extended to include the shining halo of rays that today enables this being, this "Adam" from the "Garden of Eden" of the past, to begin to follow the Godhead's thoughts, to begin to master the elements and subdue the earth. The fact that this so highly gifted "Adam" or "Eve" of today nonetheless calls this divine process of transformation a "curse" and describes it with the drastic term "expulsion" is, here too, as already previously mentioned, because of their great partiality towards the light, which made them express the "serpent" and all the other details in the "story of paradise" as a "curse", as something "evil". The "story of paradise" is of course adapted and given to beings who were satiated to a point of nausea with the experience of the darkness and thereby of the "serpent's leadership".
