1207. In its most profound analysis, a marriage is indeed something else, something more than the loose connection that today's young couples have had authorised, with the blessing of the state, in churches or town halls. The perfect marriage can be revealed or be present only where it constitutes an absolutely life-long, mutual, amorous love in each of the parties, thus ensuring that they are just as happy and mutually indispensable for one another in the days when they are turning grey as in the years of their youth, their married life thereby making all the days of their terrestrial life a "honeymoon". Only here do we find the perfect married life or marriage instituted by God. And where this is present, it does not need to be bound or shored up by any outer legal or ecclesiastical formalities erected by others. The couples' joy in being the all-outshining satisfaction of one another's mutual highest desire is the most perfect mental or physical regulator that can exist in the married life of the two beings. It is the one-hundred-per-cent fulfilment of God's commandment to "Adam" and "Eve" about being "one flesh".
