1257. No, it is not possible to make the inner psyche of beings uniform by dictate. Here not even the best of friends can possibly agree or make contact, even if they would like to do so with all their heart. They can of course, if their ability to love is sufficiently developed, prevent their mutual diversity becoming the source of anger and indignation by not bringing up such subjects or by not allowing them to dominate their conversations, but this is of course not the same as them really understanding one another's point of view. On the contrary it expresses merely that both parties "forgive" one another's deviation from their own being, their perception of and attitude to the highest problems of life. As we can see, love can thus remedy specific subtle or distinct mental differences, even before understanding is present. But where love is not present, such differences will give rise only to anger, hatred or intolerance, which in turn, give rise directly to war in one form or another, which in turn cannot exist without causing injury to both parties and undermining their general happiness and normal joy in living. The absence of love will thus make the beings enemies and persecutors of one another's lives. The stronger part can, of course, through the superiority of his power, eventually become a "victor" and hold his own against the other party, so that this other party's inner way of seeing and perceiving cannot find any physical expression in word or deed, but doing so would not of course establish peace and happiness in the relations between the parties. As long as one party must hold the other party down by force, they are of course still at war. And as long as they are still at war there can be no talk of any real peace or happiness.
