1270. But the emergence of all the many various kinds of substance would be an impossibility if, behind each of these combinations or compositions, there did not exist an I (X1), which, with its superconsciousness (X2) and the talent kernels it contains, could combine the "substances" and thereby produce the multitude of forms of energy (X3), which in turn determine that creation, and thereby the experience of life, is infinite or unlimited. The "substances" or forms of energy that we come into contact with on every step or plane of existence are of course not in a pure or unmixed form. This in turn means that they already constitute a product of creation. Each and every one of them constitutes a combination or mixture of various previously existing "substances" or forms of energy that, through their connection to the other substances in the combination and their reactions, interact with the reactions of the other substances. The collective reactions of the substances in the combination thus become a joint manifestation of energy. This manifestation of energy thus constitutes an interplay of the reaction of the specific "substances" contained in the combination. Outwardly the result of this interplay will thus constitute a specific, particular reaction, which of course will differ from the reactions of all other "combinations of substances", depending on whether it contains, or is an interplay of, forms of "substances" or forms of energy other than these. Thereby every "combination of substances" becomes a special unit. And this unit thus constitutes "new substance".
