The "kingdom of death"
1288. It is of course obvious that the domain of life of such beings cannot develop fully or reach a stage of absolute genius in a kingdom of light or love where one loves one's neighbour as oneself, perhaps even so much that one is not afraid of giving one's own life if one thereby can save his life and free him from suffering. The "expulsion from paradise" was thus a necessary occurrence. The creation or development of a "killing genius" could be completed only in the zone where "killing in order to live" was a condition of life, or where the "one man's loss was another man's gain". And the domain of the "killing genius" becomes the "kingdom of death". No beautiful organisms, no perfect organs, no sparkling eyes, no wonderful vocal cords, no caressing hands can feel safe or out of danger in this zone. Anything in the way of an organism can here be "food" for other, stronger beings. Do we not celebrate our own joyful festive occasions by having brilliant master chefs prepare and arrange roasted and fried limbs and organs from the organisms of young animal fellow beings, from their noble instruments for experiencing life on the physical plane? Are not large parts of the entrails and musculature of the organisms of these fellow beings indispensable material for terrestrial human beings' most exclusive banquets and feasts? Are tongues, livers and hearts and so on, as well as large pieces of the skeleton's mantel of flesh, supplemented with sausages made from dried blood, stuffed into the animals' own intestines, and the fat of these beings stuffed into urinary bladders not the most coveted delicacies in the ordinary terrestrial human being's daily housekeeping? Indeed, are these products not actually recommended by doctors and other "health authorities" as absolutely necessary and vital to our nutrition? In truth, God's instruction in the "killing principle" is all-encompassing. Here no terrain of darkness is left untouched. Is it possible to go any further in experimenting with darkness, in infringing the laws of life? Is it possible to get further away from "God's image" than precisely by not only murdering and killing one's neighbour in order to steal his goods and advantages, but also by expressing one's zest for life and joy, to a degree that is felt to be an absolutely vital necessity, with the orgiastic consumption of the corpses of animal fellow beings? Indeed, even far on in evolution the great celebrations in honour of the abolition of the "killing principle", such as Christmas, Easter and Whitsun, are celebrated with orgies of corpses. Do we not see how the corpses of thousands of animal fellow beings, such as the corpses of pigs, lambs, geese, ducks and so on, as well as so-called "game", that is, those beings that to a great extent have fallen victim to the "pleasant pastime" of people who enjoy hunting to kill as a sport, pile up in the great halls of the slaughterhouses in order that the need can be met? Is not the so-called "hunt" a particularly popular "sport" among beings from a financial level where, owing to ingenious, authorised, social systems and laws or the so-called "business principle", one is able to live well exclusively on the exploitation of other human beings' capacity for work and abilities and where, in cases where this way of living is at its worst, one therefore has nothing to do other than kill time by inventing "pleasant pastimes consistent with one's station"? Indeed, is the above-mentioned authorised social system in its most prominent manifestation not simply so ingenious that the stream of money sometimes flows unceasingly into the purses of such citizens or owners of companies, quite regardless of which of the "pleasant pastimes" that have nothing to do with their business they may be engaged in? Whether they are sailing around on the seas in their luxury yachts with like-minded relatives and friends and acquaintances "consistent with their station", or they are on a big-game hunt in the jungle, indeed, whether they are asleep or awake, the stream of money in the most fortunate cases, quite unconcernedly, flows into their bank account, it being so copious and plentiful that they can keep a staff of employees to attend to all the necessary supervision and administration of their business. The owners, who may have inherited their business or firms from their fathers, and thus have not even started or built them up themselves, do not need to do as much as lift a finger to maintain their stream of gold, indeed, such work would of course be quite below the dignity of their social position. And yet despite this they may even be about to perish from their exertions or be on the verge of a nervous breakdown, but this is absolutely not due to the struggle for their daily bread, but to their efforts to meet their "social duties" or the demands made by their financial position to participate in modern "pleasant pastimes".
That such rich idlers must kill time with refined and expensive amusements or "pastimes" that are "pleasant" for them is naturally a matter of course. That these amusements are at the same time means whereby they above all can indicate their "high social position" to their surroundings, is equally a matter of course. And we then also see how great fortunes, the streams of gold acquired through the sweat of subordinate workers, form tributaries flowing over the expensive terrains of great racing tracks and racecourses in the form of phenomena that sometimes border on obsession with gambling and cruelty to animals. Here such beings have ample opportunity to show that they can afford to drive the finest luxury cars, own the most select or most expensive horses complete with stables and staff. Indeed, here, just as with the great, expensive "hunts" and other refined "pastimes" for the modern Croesus, there is an opportunity to demonstrate or display publicly the golden calf on which one is riding and which one painstakingly worships and serves or is almost unable to live without. Here there are opportunities to be honoured and admired in the press or gain a favourable reputation without having to sacrifice oneself or give anything up. Here there is really an opportunity to attain fame, honour and glory without serving one's neighbour or society, but exclusively by satisfying one's own desires in a pleasant way and by being more or less parasitic on society, albeit unconsciously. What a picture of the eternal son of God is unfurling for us here! Riding on a stolen golden calf, which he believes to be the highest and most indispensable factor of life, receiving admiration, honour and glory for living a life of luxury, the acquisition of which has not cost him a single drop of sweat or physical effort, since authorised systems force his fellow human beings to bear all the efforts and difficulties involved in maintaining it so that his "pastime" or occupation becomes merely the egoistic enjoyment that is elicited by finding refinements through which he can demonstrate publicly and privately what he considers the "high standard" of his experience of life. What a "phantom" the eternal son of God's idea of true life has become!
