1290. And just think what a sophisticated and brilliant school the terrestrial human sphere is in the divine world plan as regards imparting to the son of God absolutely complete or brilliant knowledge of the domain of darkness or the effects of infringing the highest fundamental laws of life! In truth nothing is spared when it is a matter of teaching the son of God or providing him with experiences. He becomes a millionaire, a billionaire, has hundreds or thousands of people put at his disposal as his subordinate drudges or slaves from whom he can appropriate the majority of the fruits of their abilities and capacity for work, and can thereby not only avoid doing his own share of work in the interest of society, but can also simply wallow to death in gluttony and laziness, if his development demands it. He can furthermore reap fame, honour and admiration or applause, even ovations for his luxurious appearance or for arranging "pleasant pastimes" that he can maintain only by virtue of the sweat, tears and privation of his subordinates, if it be necessary for his continuation or passage through the cycle or for the development of his understanding of the reality of life itself or the absolute truth of life itself. Imagine what unlimited mental freedom of movement is given to him when he emerges as a refined murder machine in steel, flesh and blood, and as a ruling I in a battleship, in a tank or bomber ravaging towns and devastating the lives and property of thousands of fellow beings! Just think what a spectacle of darkness or "hell" he is thus permitted to behold! Out of the heaps of rubble of destroyed cities hundreds, indeed perhaps thousands, of moaning, wounded and mutilated people are dug up. After this they must more or less limp around with the aid of the still useable stumps and pieces of the previously so radiant organism with which they each were equipped. Blind, with neither arms nor legs, supported on crutches or artificial limbs, transported in wheelchairs by mourning and crying relatives or totally abandoned to the arbitrary will of strangers, deprived of the ardour of all loving eyes and unable themselves to give a friendly smile or handshake, they constitute the decorations on the "field of honour" for which the "victorious" soldier receives laurel wreaths, the highest commendations and gold medals and decorations.
What a refined "cosmic chemical laboratory" is the physical sphere of terrestrial man! There is literally nothing that the son of God does not have access to here with regard to manifesting the opposite of neighbourly love. Nothing is too expensive, neither in terms of materials nor living beings, when it is a matter of satisfying the son of God's desires. He is allowed to acquire immense wealth by usurping and exploiting the right of his fellow beings to the fruits of their labours. He is allowed to destroy cities, temples, churches, castles, schools, museums, works of art, factories and dwellings. He is allowed to murder beings by the hundreds regardless of race or species, whether they be animals or human beings, whether they be "criminals" or "saints", whether they work with their minds or their hands, if this is necessary for his development. And furthermore he can be unfaithful to his spouse. He can covet his neighbour's wife and once again be unfaithful to her. Indeed, as a terrestrial human being, he can himself decide whether he will stab, shoot or bomb. He can decide for himself whether he will lie, speak ill of others or betray them. The material or the objects for the satisfaction of his desires will always be present in abundance if it is necessary for his evolution. There is thus absolutely nothing that is denied him as a means of satisfying his need for, and enjoyment of, the gory manifestation of the "killing principle".
