1298. Since this organic structure leading upwards towards the light is something relatively new in the general terrestrial mentality, there will not be such an overwhelming or all-embracing ocean of experiences related to this organic structure to prove its existence as something that applied, throughout the millennia or a vast number of centuries, to the now worn-out, degenerated organic structure of darkness or the "Fall". While almost everyone feels or perceives it as a matter of course that a terrestrial human being must be either a "man" or a "woman", must be either a "male being" or a "female being", there will, however, be many, indeed, even an extraordinarily great majority, for whom it will as yet be quite inconceivable that a living being with an entirely different form and appearance could exist, a form that deviates considerably from their own organic state, experience and attitude, without this having to constitute some form of "abnormality". And this is of course obvious. How could it be otherwise? Every uninitiated being can of course evaluate life only on the basis of its own impression of this life. That its impression of life is created exclusively by its own particular sexual, organic structure is, as yet, beyond the capacity of the ordinary terrestrial human being to philosophise about very profoundly. It senses that it experiences or feels life in the same way as the other "normal" individuals in the flock, just as this flock also regards it as "normal". It "falls in love", it "mates", it "gets married", it gives birth to "offspring" and feels the happiness connected with this, just as much as the struggle connected with it that is necessary for maintaining this happiness. This feeling, and the mental attitude based on it, is central to the life of a normal terrestrial human being, just as it constitutes the "fixed point" or the foundation upon which the flock or society has based its laws.
