1305. And like the "Jews", they too must eventually go through the Armageddon or doomsday of degradation or retribution and afterwards become just as brilliant in unselfish fields – such as the fields of science or research as well as those of morality or humaneness – as they previously were in the field of the camouflaged, selfish system of business. Was it not, incidentally, a "Jewish genius" who appeared to the world as a "Christ"? Can one imagine a greater capitulation of a "master race"? Can one imagine a greater seed of the destruction of the "worship of nationality" than an all-embracing genius in "internationalism" being born among worshippers of nationality? In the midst of a people whose religion, belief and laws were founded solely on the glorification of their nation's selfishness or egoistic desires, a genius was born, a genius who became a mental spring whose "living water" flooded the old mental terrains in such a way that there was great danger that all selfish ideals, all worship and adoration of the nation at the expense of "internationalism" or unselfishness, all belief in being "God's chosen people" as a "master race", would perish in the flood. It is no wonder that the orthodox high priests, Pharisees and scribes of this "master-race belief" or "nationalism" sought with all possible speed to stem the flow of this spring, sought to kill this genius. But "they knew not what they did". They thought that by killing the physical body of the genius and sealing it in a tomb cut out of the rock and fortified with heavily armed warriors, they had secured the position of the "Jews" as "God's chosen people". They did not understand at all that the spring was an immortal spirit whose eternally running mental stream could not possibly be stemmed. They did not know that orthodox "Judaism" had long since been destined to perish, and had lost its intrinsic power when God spoke to "Abraham". They did not know that the divine promise, "In thy seed all the families of the Earth shall be blessed", was God's own prophecy of the fall of orthodox "Judaism", and was the death sentence on all selfish "nationalism" and every "idea of a master race". They did not therefore see that the higher they placed "Jesus of Nazareth" on the cross of Golgotha, the more they mocked and derided him and hung real "robbers" up around him, the wider they opened the sluices for the "living water". And behold, a massive stream of this divine "water" gushed out over the world, became mental streams, rivers and lakes within whose areas the orthodox selfish ideals and "ideas of a master race" or any belief in being the "Godhead's favourites" could not possibly thrive, but would be persecuted and suppressed to death.
