"The Old Testament" became a kind of brake curbing the undisguised manifestation of the barbaric, coarse, brutal animal force. Because of this testament this force could be employed only in a camouflaged way
1329. Leading terrestrial human beings further away from barbarity and brute force to a high-intellectual, humane existence of neighbourly love could not be done in one go. It could not be done through miracles or dictatorship, but only through a gradual and slow weaning from the animal principles and traditions and by an equally slow habituation to humane conditions, which is why the stages of "The Old Testament" became a kind of brake curbing the manifestation of animal principles. They could no longer be manifested openly without punishment, but had to be camouflaged. In this way "The Old Testament" has limited the use of the undisguised brute and barbaric force and murder weapons in the service of robbery and self-worship or egoism in such a way that they can now be employed only in a camouflaged way.
