1350. "Ceremonies of absolution" and "sacraments of grace" became the religious "sleeping draught" under which "communism" could plant its first feeble roots, for the time being painlessly, in the terrestrial human, animal mentality. And little did mankind suspect that, after a thousand-year-long sleep, it would wake up and see the world full of "communist" temples, schools and colleges. For centuries people went in and out of wonderfully equipped "houses of God", churches and cathedrals without suspecting that they were in "communist" temples listening to words originating from the world's greatest "communists", the world's greatest representatives for the "spirit of community", the world's greatest inspirers of neighbourly love or collective brotherhood. In the sleepy or half-awake mental state in which they found themselves, they certainly heard a little about how one should be good and loving like the Saviour, but all this actually became nothing more than a misty dream world with a dictatorial, "angry" god who allowed himself to be pacified into showing clemency and mercy on the "sinners" only by his innocent son allowing himself to be executed. By having this sadistic wish of his fulfilled, this dictator-godhead agreed to "forgive" the real "sinners" or "criminals" their "misdeeds" and give them a share of the bliss, if they merely begged Him a little for it before they died. In truth, this is not a very edifying dream or stimulating inspiration for the promotion of neighbourly love, no more than it could be a foundation upon which to build the terrestrial administration of justice either. Just imagine if people had introduced this system into the daily administration of justice! Just imagine if one's administration were just as sadistic, demanding only an object for one's desire to murder regardless of whether the person in question was guilty or not guilty! Just imagine what an eldorado or free rein for "criminals" there would then be in the "kingdom of heaven" itself or the zone where the beings themselves would rather die than have their neighbour suffer. It is easy to see that people have after all from a mental point of view been partly awake and partly asleep. But this "dream state" is naturally forgivable, it being a consequence of the fact that they found themselves between the world's two greatest contrary ideologies, at the world's absolute and very greatest moral turning point, in an abyss with the dark, slimy morass and deadly vapours of hatred below and the flood of light and the beautiful regions of love and forgiveness above. It is understandable that, for the terrestrial human being still poised at the edge of darkness and the abyss, a "nightmare" here was one of those things that could, or rather inevitably would, happen.
