1357. Modern culture of today is thus, as mentioned previously, a melting pot in which all previous "religious", abstract phenomena are cleansed of their more or less superstitious, imaginative trimmings and thereby become concrete, material, tangible realities that have complete scientific influence on purely practical physical life. This separation of the concrete physical value of "religiousness" is what today lies hidden under the concepts of "democracy" and "communism". "Democracy" and "communism", whose cosmic natures are in turn identical, are thus, because of their identity with neighbourly love, the very highest "religious" and "political" ideal that can be found or can exist at all. The absolutely perfect "democrat" or "communist" is the finished or perfect human being. Such a being constitutes the "human being in God's image after His likeness".
