If the Earth's hitherto existing "democracy" and "communism" had been perfect, the world drama that has just passed over the Earth would have been an impossibility
1358. As mentioned above, "communism" is thus the same as true "democracy". A "democracy" that is not "communist" is not "democracy", just as "communism" that is not "democratic" is not true "communism". If the "democracy" hitherto existing on Earth had been perfect and had not to such a great extent been a capitalistic dictatorship, as is the case, the great world drama or "day of judgment" that has just passed over the Earth would have been an impossibility. And if modern "communism" had been so advanced in its evolution that it was free of ordinary, enforced dictatorship or the dictator principle, the word "communism" would not have made the jarring sound in so many people's ears that it does today. But neither modern "democracy" nor modern "communism" can be any different today from they are. Behind the outer appearance of these two political systems lies an absolutely common core or the same ideal.
