Terrestrial human beings in the "sphere of the day of judgment" can be divided into three categories according to their physical situation and fate. "The Bible" and these categories
1366. Since this sphere in particular mutilates and destroys the physical organism, terrestrial mankind in the "sphere of the day of judgment" can be divided into three categories according to their physical situation. There will thus always be one section of terrestrial mankind's individuals who have been killed outright and who thereby prematurely in an unnatural way have passed over to the spiritual plane. Next there is a section of terrestrial human beings who, through the effects of darkness, have become "disabled persons" or "cripples" on the physical plane. And after this come those who are still healthy or "in fighting trim" and who therefore promote war, hatred and revenge on the physical plane. Thus the sphere of "war" or "darkness" is divided into three groups of beings. But this does not of course mean that every group constitutes numerically a "third" of the entire terrestrial mankind. The description of the "day of judgment" that is handed down in "The Bible" certainly describes the events as something that can befall only the various "thirds" of terrestrial mankind, but it is established as fact that "The Bible" does not intend to express a specific number of beings here through the fact that the experience of the "day of judgment" is an absolutely inevitable phenomenon for all terrestrial human beings. The "day of judgment" is not a process, an act of suffering intended only for a specific fraction of terrestrial mankind's individuals, enabling the other sections of terrestrial mankind to escape this experience completely. The "day of judgment" is a cosmic vital necessity for absolutely all living beings, just as the air is a vital necessity for all physical beings. Without the "day of judgment" no soul or being whatsoever could be changed. And without change there would be no life, no experience and no cycle. Eternal death would thus prevail on Earth. But this is of course the opposite of reality. Life is flourishing to the very highest extent, even though it is certainly to a great extent in favour of war or darkness.
