Terrestrial mankind cannot perish through the production and use of murder weapons against its neighbour, for the ensuing painful fate will ultimately transform the individual into a being of light and a citizen in the "kingdom of heaven"
1376. We see from this that terrestrial mankind's race to produce improved murder weapons and military equipment is not a phenomenon that will cause mankind to perish and thereby bring about the failure of the Godhead's creation. On the contrary – as related throughout Livets Bog – it is the means whereby the Godhead "breathes" knowledge of "good" and "evil" into "Adam and Eve". But knowledge of "good" and "evil" constitutes wisdom or the truth of life. And breathing the truth of life into the beings constitutes "breathing" the consciousness or mentality of God into the beings. Beings in darkness, beings that today delight in the creation of murder weapons, delight in the bloody manifestations of war, and in oppressing or tyrannising their neighbours cannot possibly avoid incurring the ensuing bloody fate of suffering and hardship that will give them a true understanding of "good" and "evil". And with a true understanding of "good" and "evil", which in turn constitutes the very highest wisdom, no human being can remain in darkness. Ignorance causes the living being to act wrongly, but wrong action creates suffering and therefore reveals its mistake to the being. And with sufficient realisation of its mistake, the being in the future safeguards himself against the repetition of the same mistake. Since the painful effects of the mistakes thus safeguard the beings against repetitions of their mistakes, they cannot possibly avoid becoming experts at the art of being able to live the "perfect life". But beings that are experts in living the "perfect life", constitute the inhabitants of the "kingdom of heaven". They are life's beings of light. They are the goal of the divine world plan.
