An unaesthetic world picture. The time has come for terrestrial mankind to revise its world view
1397. But even the beings that live today can see this process of evolution, this ennoblement of living beings and their surroundings only through archaeological grave finds, skeletons, dead bones and decayed remains that have survived. They still see the whole only through unearthed corpses, ashes and wood shavings. But is it conceivable that the world picture, the result of epochs lasting millions of years, has been created only in order to be seen through a dunghill? Is it conceivable that the world picture is meant to be experienced only through its excrement, its defecation, its transpiration and discharges? It is, indeed, a somewhat unaesthetic world picture. Imagine if the same law was valid for the purely terrestrial human creations or productions. Here one does not look at a city through its sewers and rubbish tips, just as we would not be particularly pleased to know each other's existence only through our dirty linen, our cast-off clothing and our bodily excrement and discharges. But why then believe that one has to depend on or be reduced to such drastic and unaesthetic circumstances when experiencing life's greatest and most perfect creation? Is it not the nature of all normal human beings to show their nicest and best sides to those around them. Are our main doors, halls and entrance halls, assembly halls and drawing rooms not intended as decorative facades and a pleasant welcome or reception for our guests, while our backyards, by contrast, are intended as a place for dustbins and other less flattering phenomena? It is, however, not this backyard facade that we want to put on show, just as we do not go around wearing our clothes inside out. Why should this law, which in itself is such a pervasive and all-determining normal thing in the daily lives of the living beings, be wholly dispensed with in the case of the world's greatest production and creation, life's greatest work of art or the very highest manifestation of life? Why should this life be something that can be seen or recognised only through its sewers? Is it not conceivable that the time has come for terrestrial mankind to revise its world view and bring its view of the world picture into harmony with the logic shown in "close-up" by all the local micro-details of this world picture, micro-details that are accessible to the normal, intellectually advanced terrestrial human being as something that can be seen in a purely practical, physical way?
