1447. Just as the "kingdom of death" governs and dominates one half of the spiral cycle, the "kingdom of life" dominates and governs the other half of the same cycle. This latter half of the spiral thus occurs concurrently with the "kingdom of death" or the "animal kingdom", but is here latent, manifesting itself at its absolute minimum. But as the "kingdom of death" gradually culminates in the terrestrial human being, the latent "kingdom of life" begins to stir. And it is in turn this stirring that we know as the guidance of the beings by the prophets of light and light world redeemers forward towards "humaneness" and "neighbourly love". And it is this stirring that over the past centuries has been manifested through the three great world religions: Buddhism, Islam and Christianity. The central idea or object of this stirring is not the development of terrestrial human beings into "warriors" or a "master race". Everything that comes under such concepts belongs exclusively to the zone of darkness or the "kingdom of death". It constitutes the cold granite walls of mental "death" that still confine the beings to the cold, cosmically unconscious sphere of ignorance and naivety. The absolute goal of the world religions or the cosmic world impulse is "absolute humaneness" or "neighbourly love". Everything that works in this direction is thus the growth of light, or the assistance of the being out of the "kingdom of death". It is the being's cosmic "resurrection" or return to real life. In this life it is no longer "one with matter" or that which is "temporal"; nor does it believe that it is a "mortal" being. Then it knows that it is in itself "eternity" and thereby the eternal creator of time, space and death in its own consciousness and is thus "one with the Godhead" or the "eternal Father". And it is in the initial atmosphere of this resurrection or the beginnings of this awakening to life that we find the terrestrial human being. At the same time as the dark, cold and dank details of the dark "kingdom of death" begin to reach their autumnal flowering, an entirely new mentality begins to grow. This growth is the "real human kingdom's" first incipient symptoms of spring. And time hastens onwards. The light and warmth come closer and closer so as to ultimately overshadow every single terrestrial human being completely, one after the other, with its warming, divine summer, where everything lies bathed in the radiant light of love. And here there is no more jealousy, here there is no professional rivalry, here there is no unhappy love. Here the living beings no longer groan in the quagmire or anguished situations of "unhappy marriages". Here there are no orphans or homeless children who are abandoned to the mercy and charity of others. Here there is no elbowing one's way forward at the expense of others. Here there are no slaves, neither camouflaged nor undisguised. Here there is no war, mutilation, hatred or revenge. And here there is no "death" and therefore no "fear of death" either, just as there is no one either that moans and groans in sorrow and illness. And here there is no longer anyone that is "born in sorrow". Life just sparkles, radiates and shines. Everyone loves everyone else. But this love is not good manners or politeness that have been acquired out of fear of the laws. It is not a cold, mental fulfilment of a theoretically drawn up moral commandment with which one can embellish one's own little person and, like the Pharisee, thank God because one is not "as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers ..." and thereby rejoice in one's self-proclaimed, egoistic radiance.
