1487. The above is worth being borne in mind by all those who attach great importance to everyone complying with the sexual morality that, according to their dependence on dogmas or ecclesiastical orthodoxy, they perceive to be the absolutely one thing needful for all human beings. These zealous followers of the dogmas or orthodoxy do not understand that beings exist whose sexual sphere lies quite outside the sexual terrain revealed by the dogmas, and who therefore neither can nor should be satisfied by a slavish compliance or observance of them. It is naturally a matter of course that these beings cannot possibly fully comply with the sexual injunctions of dogmatic morality in the same way as do the followers of the dogmas, to whom compliance with these injunctions provides them with complete and full satisfaction of their perception of sexuality and their desires. It is an easy matter to comply with an understanding and laws that do not collide with one's normal nature, but which, on the contrary, express this nature precisely. But believing that sexual life does not have steps, and that the original, animal sexual step, whose structure the traditional moral dogmas are built to promote, should be the very highest one and the absolutely only salvation in the universe, and thereby also the absolutely only salvation for the terrestrial human being at all its stages of evolution, is the superstition with which all religious sects and societies of today break away from the flock and become small, more or less fossilised or calcified societies within the original great terrestrial human society.
