1590. And in this way eternal life, in the form of the spiral cycle, is merely a higher way of experiencing day and night. Through the plant kingdom, the animal kingdom, the human kingdom, the kingdom of wisdom and the divine world, that is, all the experiences in the outer world, the being experiences the "principle of day", and through the "kingdom of bliss" or the inner world the being experiences the "principle of night". Eternal life is thus an eternally continuing series of experiences of the "principle of day" and the "principle of night", not merely in the form of the hours of the day, but also in the form of the spiral cycles' enormous epochs of time with alternating experiences of cosmic light and cosmic darkness, cosmic days and cosmic nights, cosmic summers and cosmic winters. In eternally continuing series of million-year-long epochs of time, with an unbroken chain of changing settings, with different ways of experiencing, the eternal Father breathes into His equally eternal son His immense creative might, His immense ability and knowledge, His own consciousness, His own life. The son of God or the living being thereby attains a superterrestrial identity; he becomes his Father's image after His likeness. Eternal life is thus not merely immortality, a control of the elements, a superior voyage across the vast oceans of time and space; it is the Godhead revealed in the living being, and the living being revealed in the Godhead. Eternal life is love, and love is eternal life. In truth, it is not so surprising that the eternal commandment, "thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself", resounds throughout the universe, for this neighbour is the eternal Father. The mental "wavelength" of the universe is love. All who would "inherit eternal life" (attain cosmic consciousness, knowledge of their own eternity and become one with the Father), must therefore inevitably attune their mentality to love. Only through love will the being become conscious of the fact that its own identity is eternity, see that everything is very good and perceive life as God's radiant halo.
