The masculine being is the same all-important, vital object of interest for the purely feminine being as the feminine being is for the purely masculine being. In a latent state they both constitute for one another the final remnant of the paradise that they had left at one time
1602. Since the "feminine" principle in its pure form brings about an organic structure that causes the being to experience a vital desire to feel attached to a "masculine" being, the latter becomes a corresponding, all-dominating object of interest in her daily life, in the same way as the "feminine" being is the object of interest for the "masculine" being. She thus carries within herself a hunger that can be satiated or satisfied only by becoming sexually one with the "masculine" being. Thus she absolutely has to have this being as her sexual partner in life. It is thus not good for "Eve" to be alone either. The "masculine" being is a vital necessity for the purely "feminine" being, just as the "feminine" being is a vital necessity for the purely "masculine" being. Whereas the organic structure of the "masculine" being creates the desire to "possess" a being of the opposite sex, the organic structure of the "feminine" being creates the desire to be "possessed" by a being of the opposite sex. It is the nature of the organic "feminine" structure to develop devotion and submission to a "masculine" being. And this mental attitude results in the organism of the "feminine" being or "woman" being more delicate than that of the "man". While his organism is designed to defend his spouse and offspring from their surroundings, the "woman's" organism is designed to be defended; it is also the "woman's" organism that is the instrument for the development and nourishment of an embryo, and must naturally be protected in this situation. The purely "feminine" being is thus in fact completely dependent on the "masculine" being. Inevitably the latter being is one hundred per cent the purely "feminine" being's object of desire. And since this applies to all its "feminine" fellow beings, they become rivals for this object of interest. And the sexual orientation of the "feminine" being consequently forms the basis for the above-mentioned rivalry and the ensuing jealousy and feeling of "ownership", just as it does for the "masculine" being. Attraction to the opposite sex and aversion to one's own sex is thus the absolutely only fundamental, practical and mental direction of flow that exists in each of these two kinds of sexual beings in their pure form. Their sense or experience of life is a vital necessity for them; it is their drive for self-preservation. For the "feminine" being the "masculine" being is thus the last ray from the heaven or "paradise" they had both once left. And they cling tightly to this little ray from heaven that they each constitute for one another. In the light of this ray they embrace one another. It is the two beings' heavenly light or superterrestrial torch throughout the spheres of darkness. It is a reflection of heaven, God's halo in the zones of the kingdom of darkness. It is a recollection of a being that the enchanted son of God or "bewitched prince" of the fairy tale of life can no longer remember. The "heavenly Father" has vanished in the darkness of oblivion. He is no longer present in the wakingly day-conscious sphere of thinking of the bewitched son of God or "Adam" and "Eve".
