Livets Bog, vol. 5
With its knowledge of darkness the terrestrial human being has all the prerequisites for gaining certainty about the structure of the world
1628. For the great majority of terrestrial human beings today it is therefore a fundamental fact that life is dark and dismal, indeed, so dismal that it promotes even depression and suicide. In the midst of all of mankind's groping and quest for spiritual knowledge, it has thus gained an unshakeable foundation or basis for its spiritual quest or mental research. It is thus an absolutely tangible fact or absolute knowledge that the human mentality culminates in darkness. With this knowledge as a starting point the intellectual terrestrial human being has all the prerequisites for gaining certainty about the structure of the world in a purely intellectual way. The fact is that life or Nature tells the intellectual researcher everything about himself. And since this speech is a detailed account of the nature, mission and place of darkness in the universe, this account is likewise a story of light, of cycles and of the world order. And without an understanding of life's own account or speech, a true insight into the structure of life or the order of the universe would be an absolute impossibility. From this understanding all the great sages, with Christ in the lead, have their knowledge. With this understanding one experiences the "holy spirit" or the "highest fire".
