1645. But what then does being "alive" mean? A thorough analysis shows that being "alive" is the same as being able to "feel", which is in turn the same as being able to "sense". But in order that "something" can be felt or sensed, a reaction must be created. But a reaction can arise only where two energies make contact with one another. The previously mentioned eternal I must thus, through its "X2" and "X3", create two different forms of energy. This creation is triggered by the two eternal centres in "X2" and spreads to "X3", where it is perfected. These two centres are thereby, as previously mentioned, the I's eternal organ of life. This organ of life thus creates or releases two kinds of energy. These two kinds of energy are known to us in daily life by the concepts of the "masculine" and the "feminine" appearance, just as we know the centre for each of the two kinds of energy as the "masculine pole" and the "feminine pole" respectively.
