Just as the plant gains physical day-consciousness through the cycle and becomes an "animal", so the half being gains "cosmic consciousness" through the same cycle and becomes a "human being"

But just as the plant being, in accordance with the laws of the cycle, evolves and is guided onwards to an organic state in which it begins to be able to experience wakingly day-consciously in a world where it previously could have only an inkling, so this cycle guides the culminating "half-sex being" onwards to also being able to experience wakingly day-consciously on the spiritual plane, whose reactions or influence it previously could experience only as undetailed inklings.This day-conscious, spiritual way of experiencing is expressed in "Livets Bog" as "cosmic consciousness".While the principle of the cycle, by means of this evolution, transforms the "plant" into an "animal", it transforms, by means of the same evolution, the "animal" into a "human being".And, as we will see later, the cycle, through the same evolution, will transform the "human being" into a purely "spiritual being" or into a cell or unit of force in the organ for the very Godhead's own manifestation of the "highest fire", which in turn means the same as being transformed into an individual in the fifth plane of existence: the kingdom of intuition or the divine world.
