1682. The biblical account of "Eden" is thus in actual fact an account of a zone or sphere of existence within which the beings had "angel consciousness", that is to say a consciousness that completely fulfilled the law of neighbourly love as a purely automatic function.It was thus a state of consciousness in which it was an absolute matter of course for the living being to love its surroundings or its neighbour as itself.It was a state of consciousness in which what we know as "evil" was inconceivable and could not possibly be manifested.But a living being that so consistently expresses neighbourly love, thus making this love the only existing matter of course in its entire perception and manifestation, is not an animal being or a terrestrial human being but a superterrestrial or heavenly being.It is an "angel being".Such an "angel being" is expressed by the "Adam" of the "Bible".Adam is thus in actual fact a term for neither a "male being" nor a "female being".Adam was not a being that could be envious or jealous of anyone or anything.The "Adam being" represents an epoch of life in the spiral cycle that existed long before "marriage" came into existence.The biblical Eden was a zone that lay completely outside the sphere of marriage.
