1731. Since mankind can thus make matter obey its will, it is established as fact that it is the human being's will that is at fault. It is its will to do the right thing that must be brought into line, that is to say, meet the requirements that are necessary in order for world peace to be a lush mental flowering in the psyche of mankind. And this brings us back again to the sympathetic faculties of the individual itself. The will is dictated and led, as will be remembered, by the sympathetic faculties, which are in turn the same as the "highest fire", and are seated in and triggered by the individual's sexual organic structure. No matter how we look at it, we cannot avoid studying this organic structure. The salvation of mankind or peace is thus not merely a question of technology and energy – phenomena it already has in abundance – but also very much a question of this sexual organic structure, which, as previously mentioned, is the seat of the "highest fire" or the living being's source of mental warmth. It is here that research into or the study of the being's mental temperature can begin. Here too it is evident as fact that the highest and only needful thing for mankind in its present situation is not weights and measures, knowledge of physical matter or materialistic knowledge but, on the contrary, spiritual knowledge or knowledge of the innermost source and cause of mental warmth.
