1734. Through what we have heard here, we see that the world redeemers and greatest sages among men were thus not fanatical fools that ideally ought to be crucified or executed, but were beings that, by virtue of the liberation of their consciousness or mentality from animal or selfish tendencies, were peace itself. It is easy to see that if all human being were, for example, as unselfish as Christ was, peace would reign supreme on Earth. There is thus no getting away from the mentality of the world redeemer if we want to create peace in our own innermost selves and thereby peace on Earth. He was right when he said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." This is actually precisely the same as saying that no one attains "cosmic consciousness", the experience of immortality and being one with the universe, infinity and eternity, and thereby being "one with the Father", without being animated by the mental attitude and view that made up the psyche or consciousness of the world redeemer. When other people arrive at this state of consciousness through evolution, they experience what the world redeemer has prophesied as his "second coming in the clouds". Through evolution all human beings will thus at some point in time experience the "second coming of Christ" – not as a prophet or a world redeemer in flesh and blood outside of themselves, but, on the contrary, as an initiation into the cosmic consciousness or humane psyche that the world redeemer was initiated into, and which determined his behaviour in the service of world redemption as a model for the creation of "the human being in God's image". All human beings will thus experience in themselves the emergence of this consciousness, a consciousness that had long since emerged in him. It has thus been established as fact that the salvation and future of mankind lies exclusively in the human being getting to know itself, its own psyche, its purpose and its destiny.
