1747. We have thus here gained a little insight into the psyche of the "real man" and the "real woman". Retaining this insight in our consciousness is of the utmost importance, for without this insight into the state of the sexual poles in "man" and "woman" in their pure form, we cannot justly evaluate terrestrial human life. Indeed, are not the religions and science of the masses already in great confusion about the terrestrial human being's sexual structure? Is not unjust evaluation extremely prevalent here? Are there not far too many of today's terrestrial human beings who are not "real men" and not "real women", which in turn respectively means are not "real male beings" and not "real female beings"? Is there not an extremely great number of people who will not take part in oppressing or enslaving other people? Indeed, they absolutely loathe having their fellow beings under their control. They have absolutely no desire to conquer. Their entire psyche is against this entire "animal" appetite for power and wealth, against all this living at the expense of others, living on their work and at the expense of their welfare. They want all forms of violence, brutality and killing to be abolished. They want equal rights for all beings. They want the weak in society to be protected against being at the mercy of ruthless, egoistic oppression and exploitation by the stronger. The same beings truly loathe being soldiers; they loathe having to teach and be taught how to murder and kill other beings and how to destroy their property. Is not the whole of mankind in actual fact permeated by one single great longing for "lasting peace", that is to say, for an existence in which harmony prevails, which in turn is the same as sympathy and joy between everyone and for everyone? Can real or absolute peace be anything else? A peace that is not a fellow-feeling and joy between everyone and for everyone is absolutely not peace. It is and can be only a centre of varying degrees of unrest. When people thus begin to swear by humaneness or the undermining of all the forces that were very much the specific psyche and hero mentality of the "real man" and the "real woman", they cannot in themselves be "real men" or "real women" in such a pure form as the former, who know nothing of humaneness or unselfishness.
