The highest fire constitutes that which is fundamental to the living being's superconsciousness and thereby to the regulation of all sensory perception or life experience
1790. It is not the law or principle of evolution that the sexual drive should not be subject to the cycle and thereby to its stages of transformation.Just as all other phenomena in life have their "seasons", so too does the sexuality of the living beings appear in stages of transformation or "seasons".This becomes, indeed, an irrefutable fact in that it is not life that promotes the sexual principle, but on the contrary this principle that promotes life. The world has therefore to an increasing extent had to surrender to this branch of evolution, just as it has had to surrender to all other transformations of the living beings' structure and appearance brought about by evolution. The sexual principle or the "highest fire" is thus in reality that which is fundamental to the individual's or the living being's superconsciousness. This is the seat of the individual's entire process of life in all planes of existence, as well as of its relationship to the rest of the universe, to its macrocosmos as well as to its microcosmos. This fire is thus the regulator of love itself. It determines absolutely all degrees of love. And what is life other than the experience and manifestation of various degrees of love? All experience is a diversity of sensation.A diversity of sensation is in turn the same as "coloured" feeling. This "colouring" represents a scale of nuances from the culmination in black to the culmination in white, which in turn is the same as from the culmination in darkness to the culmination in light, from the culmination in coldness to the culmination in heat, from the culmination in unpleasantness to the culmination in pleasantness, which is the same as from the culmination in repugnance to the culmination in sensual pleasure, which again in its highest form of experience is the same as the culmination of antipathy and the culmination of sympathy or the culmination of hatred and the culmination of love respectively.
