Why primitive, masculine men feel antipathy towards very feminine or womanly men, and the reflection of this antipathy in persecution, violence and blackmail
1853. Such a very masculine being in which the opposite pole is as yet very latent, that is to say, still lacks several terrestrial lives-worth of evolution in order for its feminine pole to gain access to its waking day-consciousness, and that is therefore so much closer to the animal kingdom, has as yet very much of the nature of the animal kingdom or the law of the jungle within it, which causes the beings strong feelings of antipathy or deadly animosity towards the unnatural or abnormal beings of their own species or race.So in many cases animals kill those beings that get injured or in some other way have become disabled and cannot fend for themselves. In the animal kingdom this phenomenon indicates a certain form of mercy, since these abnormal or disabled animals would otherwise pitifully have to face an agonising death. This holds true of, for example, migratory birds that cannot fly with the flock. And it holds true of animals that have become blind or in some other way have become disabled. There are no institutes for the blind for animals; they cannot take their sick fellow beings to a hospital or infirmary either. The animals have only one means of easing the sufferings of their sick companions or fellow beings, namely, killing them in the given situation. This is the principle of mercy that, within mankind's sphere of life, has developed into the hospital service and system of public assistance. But in the masculine or robust human being there is still so much of this antipathy or aversion towards that which is abnormal or supposedly abnormal, an antipathy or aversion that has been inherited from the animal, that it can make it fly into a passion and manifest even very aggressive antipathy towards sexually abnormal or supposedly sexually abnormal beings, which in the worst case can result in violence and assault. An exception to this occurs in cases where a masculine being has discovered that an "abnormal" being can be an excellent subject for blackmail or in some other obscure way can be a way to financial or material gain for him. Here he then feigns artificial sympathy or goodwill towards the feminine man's sexual desire, a sympathy or goodwill that is only a pitfall or trap that he lays in order to catch his victim so that he can then brutally plunder him for all he is worth.
