1874. A human being whose morals and ethics are stronger than its sexual drive need not fear in any way that its future zone of sexual transformation will be a sphere of unhappiness, apart from the ordinary pangs that always accompany the birth of a new epoch. Everyone must inevitably go through the sexual transformation. No one can continue being a male or female being. The eternal principle of experiencing life is, as is known, maintained exclusively by an eternally changing transformation. The natural, organic initiation – not the artificial or technical one that can be carried out by human beings – cannot possibly be acquired by a one-poled being. Such a being's natural psyche fosters antipathy towards and envy of its own sex. A truly initiated being that has been initiated by Nature itself cannot be an individual whose organic structure is formed to manifest only egoistic sympathy towards one particular sex and antipathy and envy towards the rest of its fellow beings, its so-called "own sex". It has to be a being whose sexual structure is an organic foundation for the manifestation of a sympathy and love that is not determined by a particular sex. Love cannot go on being so elementary that it is a stimulus for the being's bodily reproduction alone. Such a limited love or so-called "amorous love" can constitute only the animal paradise. The heavenly paradise cannot be based on amorous love. It can be based only on true universal love. But universal love can be manifested only by an organic structure that does not restrict sympathy for the being's own sex. If universal love is really to be released in a fundamental way, the male and female states have to be equalised. The woman's masculine pole has to equal her feminine pole, just as the man's feminine pole has to equal his masculine pole, so the beings can thereby be the same. Both parties will thereafter be equipped with the waking day-consciousness of both the masculine principle and the feminine principle, which they manifest harmoniously, so that they can have sexual contact with anyone whatsoever. Here no separately manifested pre-existing male or female structure is necessary or stipulated. Here love is not an act of bodily reproduction but a warming experience in which the parties mutually and spiritually possess one another with their innermost, most intimate or most sacred life, thought and soul. Here happiness and the giving of love is determined not by any outer sexual appearance, kinship, race or social position, but is exclusively a divine process of recognising and fusing together brought on by the mutual divine affinity of the beings.
