1898. But the transformation of the animal into the human being is not merely a question of cosmic consciousness or the ability to perceive or sense with cosmic clear-sightedness. It is also, as we already know, a transformation of the being's sympathetic faculties or sexual structure. Indeed, it is of course precisely this transformation of the being's sexual structure that is the true and real cause of the being's mental transformation or transformation of consciousness from "animal" to "human being" and moreover of absolutely all the other specific mental stages in the cosmic spiral cycle. With the transformation of the being from the one-poled sexual state to the double-poled sexual state, it thus ceases to be a specifically male being or a specifically female being. When this transformation has taken place, and the being is thereby no longer a "man" or a "woman" but appears with both its poles, its masculine pole and its feminine pole, in complete equilibrium or balance, the great birth begins in its psyche. This equilibrium of the poles was of course the prerequisite for the occurrence of the great birth. With the above-mentioned equilibrium, there emerged not only the ability, but also the desire, to love one's previous sexual rival and enemy: the being of one's own sex. The individual's sympathetic or sexual faculties have developed to become a structure that thus enables it to love everyone independent of its old sexual attitude, which it no longer has. It can thus, in the true sense, fulfil absolutely organically the greatest commandment of the law of neighbourly love: "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself". Since this actually also means that one loves God above all things, one is thus, by virtue of one's sexual transformation from the one-poled state to the two-poled state, identical with the incarnation of the fulfilment of all the laws. Human being J thus differs from the uninitiated terrestrial human being in that it is neither mentally nor spiritually a "man" and cannot therefore be biased towards a woman, just as it also differs from the terrestrial human being by not being a "woman" either. It can also thereby not be biased towards any man. It sees and loves the divine, real, eternal and absolutely son-of-God-like something that begins to reveal itself in every terrestrial human being, beyond, and thereby independent of, the organ structure of the animal mentality and mode of expression or the one-poled sexuality. It is neither the outer bodily structure characterised by the one-poled state nor the specifically male being or specifically female being that is the ultimate and real object for the sexual attraction of human being J or the initiated and cosmically born human being. It is the incipient son-of-god-like being or the "human being in God's image" behind the man and the woman that is the object that triggers the love of the cosmic, two-poled being. That the double-poled or rather the two-poled sexuality in the first instance makes the individual feel attracted to the outer sexual structure of its own sex is naturally a matter of course and does not change the above principle. If the created, sexual fascination or attraction were not precisely a sympathy for the being's own sex, it would of course not be a new sensory state or ability to love. It would be simply a one-poled state or an ability to love the opposite sex. Since such an ability already exists all the way up to the exaggerated forms, expanding the being with such a new ability would be completely meaningless and absolutely at variance with the unshakeable logic that forms the firm foundation for all other forms of Nature's creation. It is the meaning of life or the divine intention for terrestrial mankind's present and future epoch of evolution to enable its individuals to love the entire series of beings that constitutes its own sex, which they today consider to be more or less rivals and contributory obstacles to them winning the kind of favour and happiness from life that is the greatest for them, namely the possession of, or right to own the opposite sex. Only the ability to love their own sex can remove all rivalry and the jealousy that arises from it, which is the seed of absolutely everything that comes under the concepts of antipathy, anger, hatred, war, murder, killing and so on.
