On the sexual transformation from the one-poled state to the two-poled state
1900. But even though the sexual structure of human being I has advanced so far in evolution that it, by virtue of spiritual science or the cosmic knowledge that is now manifested and made accessible on Earth, emerges as an incipient human being J, the above-mentioned sexual structure is as yet far from being completely evolved on Earth. Hundreds upon hundreds of years will elapse before the unselfish and elevated sexual drive of human being J can be made to give its originator such a perfect culminating sexual release as that which can be given by purely one-poled sexuality. But, as we already know, the degeneration of this latter form of release coincides with the evolution of the opposite pole in the individual. This degeneration is sensed as a kind of sexual satiation or satiety. And with this satiation the attraction towards the one-poled release decreases. At the same time as the attraction towards the one-poled or so-called "normal" sexual act between two beings of opposite sexes is weakened or decreases, the desire, wish or longing for a change in the sexual experience arises. The fact is that the sexual desire or longing for sexual release does not decrease, even though the sexual structure is changed. The weakening applies only to the longing or attraction towards the ordinary or thousands-of-years-old normal act. This new attraction is thus not directed towards beings of the opposite sex. It is, as will be remembered, the desire to possess these beings that is satiated. When the beings of the opposite sex are not the object of the new sexual attraction, only the other beings of the race or species can be. And these others can, of course, in turn be only individuals of the beings' own sex. This incipient feeling or longing to caress beings of one's own sex – when it does not occur at a stage that is premature for this sexual form (as is the case with the previously mentioned derailments) – is a very first incipient, real, humane but not animal tendency. It is the very first feeble dawning of the light of the real human mentality. It is this light that is made to flicker, smoke and reek by the derailments. It is thereby in contact with, and is an augmentation of, the killing principle, giving rise to sorrow and sufferings after having given rise to vices, perversities or other mental abnormalities. But this use of the two-poled or real "human" sexual force is of course to the very highest degree unnatural.
