1901. Where the human sexual force is mixed unrestrainedly with the animal sexual force in the human being, an exaggeration of animal principles, that is to say an increase in the unleashing of the killing principle, arises. It is thus an unrestrained mixing of the two forms of sexual force already existing in all present terrestrial human beings (one-poled sexuality and two-poled sexuality) that underlies the difference there is in the terrestrial human beings' wars with one another and the animals' clashes with one another. While the clashes of animals can take place only by means of the natural organs of defence or protection that are built into their organisms, the clashes or disputes of human beings take place by means of immensely ingenious apparatuses through which Nature's normal innate fighting capability is multiplied millions upon millions of times. The terrestrial human being – by virtue of its animal disposition's mastery of its incipient opposite pole, which has of course, among other things, a budding high-intellectual disposition – can thus, even at an early stage, manifest such a conspicuous tendency to murder and a technology of destruction that it could render all human existence on Earth totally impossible and thereby wipe itself out if a higher power, through the laws of the eternal principle of the cycle, did not prevent such a downfall. The eternal principle of the cycle regulates, as we know, all contrasting states by creating precisely the relationship between light and darkness, coldness and heat, summer and winter, day and night, evil and good, love and hatred and so on in such a way that life becomes an "experience" and not a "nothing". The principle of the cycle thus guarantees that life does not become an eternal night, an eternal winter, an eternal hell and thereby an eternal death, but that these phenomena come to manifest themselves in the living being's experience with only the exact strength or in precisely the area that is absolutely necessary in order for them to form the dark background against which the light, day, summer and paradise or a life in love can be demarcated and thereby be accessible for sensory perception or experience. The world wars, or the hell, the mental darkness that in the present century torment mankind the world over, are thus due solely and exclusively to its animal tendencies of consciousness controlling the forces emanating from the radiance from its opposite pole, which is incipiently human and controlled by animal tendencies. But the opposite pole will continue to evolve and its energy or power, which thus means the real "human" consciousness, which is the same as "cosmic consciousness" or the "holy spirit", will overcome its animal or killing mentality or spirit. Then the human kingdom will triumph over the animal kingdom, paradise over hell, life over death. And then the absolutely perfect human being or the "human being in God's image", the perfect being of love will become the prevalent type of being on the continents and oceans of the Earth and the kingdom of God will spread over all the spheres and zones of the world.
