1909. As long as the organism intended for the sexually double-poled state does not yet occur in a state that is ready for the performance of this climactic act of the two-poled state, the individual can get sexual release as yet only through the one-poled sexual organs inherited from the animal kingdom. But this release, in accordance with the being's spiritual structure and capacity in the normal two-poled state, can thus be only an imaginary experience formed in the thoughts as demanded by the ordinary two-poled desire. The physical release that takes place between beings of the same sex that feel a mutual sexual attraction is thus here, seen from the perspective of the two-poled state, only a spiritual contact. The completely "human" sexual experience, which in turn here means the completely two-poled sexual experience, can thus take place only in the imagination as long as the two beings can as yet get sexual release only through the inherited one-poled sexual organs. When the sexual act of culmination between two one-poled beings of the same sex is performed, it can be felt as a two-poled act only through the powers of imagination. The main principle in this act is that both parties imagine their act of sexual union and release as a normal act between a man and a woman. The fact is that each of the parties imagines himself or herself as the opposite of the partner with whom the act is carried out. If it is two women who seek sexual release with one another, they will both imagine themselves as the masculine partner in the performance of the act. They both imagine themselves being the male partner in the act and the other being as the feminine or female partner in the act. If it is two men that seek to perform a sexual act with one another, they will both imagine themselves as the feminine or female partner in the act and the other party as the masculine or male being in the same act. If this were not the case, there would be absolutely no basis for the act. It would be completely meaningless, if it could at all be carried out. It is of course precisely the incipient new pole that forms the being's sexual attraction to its own sex. Here the unnatural acts manifested through derailment and prostitution are naturally not included. Here we are referring only to the sexual act based solely on the attraction between the being and its own sex that arises from the incipient two-poled state.
