But since this highest cosmic energy, intuition, which emerges from a previous spiral and is transformed by the being's memories of its existence in that world into the energy of bliss or pleasure, cannot by itself form an independent physical organism, it must make a connection with basic energies that are of such a nature that a physical body can be formed from them. In this physical body these energies can, when they are in the majority or predominate, to a corresponding degree characterise a zone. For this reason this zone, which constitutes the being's sexual organs, is only a local area or province in the living being's organism. The above-mentioned organs thus constitute the I's first gateway opening out to all creation and experience, the gateway opening in to all contrasts. All sensations of life or kinds of experience of life begin here and end here. It is the alpha and omega of the great cosmic cycle.
