Martinus Museum Copenhagen
Visit the Martinus Museum located at the Martinus Institute, Mariendalsvej 94-96, 2000 Frederiksberg, Denmark!
The attic flat in which Martinus himself lived and worked has been preserved in its original form as a small museum that captures the atmosphere of his own lifetime and his humble way of living.
Martinus lived and worked here for almost 40 years – from 1943 to 1981.
Meetings and gatherings
Many social gatherings were held around the living room table. Without even wanting to, Martinus was always the centre of attention. He answered questions about his analyses and told his guests many exciting things about life.
Many people sought Martinus’s advice. They too sat here. During a single year, Martinus had about three hundred visitors.
A remarkable body of work
Martinus did most of his spiritual writing here at his desk.
When he moved in in 1943, he was working on the third volume of his main work, Livets Bog (The Book of Life), and in the period leading up to 1960 he wrote the subsequent four volumes.
In the eight years that followed – up to 1968 – he wrote The Eternal World Picture, volumes 1, 2 and 3, which contain many of the symbols he drew.
